Our Philosophy
We believe a person’s finances are relational and therefore should be handled purposefully, comprehensively and biblically.
Relationally
The bottom line of managing one’s financial resources well is people. Financial resources allow you to:
- Provide for your family now and enjoy the moments you have today.
- Nurture and maximize relationships in the future. You want to make memories in retirement and spend time with those who matter during your retirement years.
- Leave a legacy for others by supporting those people and organizations who are doing the work that matters to you.
- Build a trusted relationship with your financial professionals. You and those you care about matter to us. We desire to develop a relationship with you that will move you towards and help you accomplish your financial goals.
Purposefully
Our decisions about money matter. We believe one should be intentional about how and where money is invested. Best practices dictate everyone should have the following:
- A written plan: Sometimes this is a professional plan, other times it is penciled out at home. Either way, it is important to have a defined goal you are working towards.
- A written investment policy statement: This is the policy that governs your investments. It lends confidence when the market fluctuates. Your portfolio is within predetermined parameters.
Comprehensively
Money impacts just about every aspect of one’s life. It is our desire to help others see the big picture and understand how their financial decisions are intertwined. With the heart of a teacher we address the following:
- Personal spending all the way to investing. Financial integrity is when all aspects of spending, investing, and giving are considered together.
- Personal beliefs about money. Our financial decisions reflect what we believe. Some things we have been taught, may or may not be true. It is wise to know how your beliefs impact your actions.
- Different stages of investing. Investing should not be a single event. Portfolios and plans should be reviewed periodically.
Biblically
The financial principles outlined in the Scriptures are time-tested. We believe they are the best principles to guide decisions about money.
